Now that you’ve pulled together data from external sources and screened for quality, you’re ready to put that effort to work by filling in the missing pieces. We’ll begin by covering the importance of gap filling for computing carbon and water budgets. Then we’ll discuss the drivers that should be used for gap filling carbon dioxide, water, and methane fluxes. We’ll demonstrate the Configurable MDS Gap Filling tool and other gap filling methods supported in Tovi and show you how to specify drivers and fill gaps in your own dataset.
Finally, we’ll demonstrate how Tovi can determine the footprint of your flux measurements around your tower using the Flux Footprint Prediction model, and we’ll show the combination of the footprint model overlaid with satellite imagery of a site. Topics covered will include flux footprint allocation and quality flagging regions.
